Khagaria is a district in the Bihar State of India. Total area of Khagaria is 1,486 km² including 1,473.54 km² rural area and 12.46 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Khagaria has a population of 16,66,886 peoples, out of which urban population is 87,159 while rural population is 15,79,727. The district has a population density of 1122 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,28,823 houses in the district, including 16,106 urban houses and 3,12,717 rural houses.
