Common Service Centres (CSCs) are the access points for delivery of essential public utility services, social welfare schemes, healthcare, financial, education and agriculture services, apart from a host of B2C services to citizens in rural and remote areas of the country, Public Distribution System(PDS), gas booking, electricity bill payment, railway ticket booking, fastag, insurance, pension, water bill payment, etc. You can locate your nearest Common Service Center (CSC) in your locality. The Common Services Centers initiative was launched by the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India.

CSC India has a vast network of CSCs, which are spread across the country. For example, in the state of Bihar, there are 2,813 CSCs, whereas, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, there are 5,829 CSCs.

The CSCs are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of e-Governance services to citizens. The CSCs are a part of the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) of the Government of India.

The CSCs are connected to the State Data Centers (SDCs) through a Wide Area Network (WAN). The SDCs are connected to the National Data Centers (NDCs). The NDCs are the main servers that store all the data of the CSCs.
