Saharsa is a district in the Bihar State of India. Total area of Saharsa is 1,687 km² including 1,665.87 km² rural area and 21.13 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Saharsa has a population of 19,00,661 peoples, out of which urban population is 1,56,540 while rural population is 17,44,121. The district has a population density of 1127 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,68,979 houses in the district, including 28,862 urban houses and 3,40,117 rural houses.
