Aurangabad is a district in the Bihar State of India. Total area of Aurangabad is 3,305 km² including 3,244.13 km² rural area and 60.87 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Aurangabad has a population of 25,40,073 peoples, out of which urban population is 2,36,854 while rural population is 23,03,219. The district has a population density of 769 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 3,91,898 houses in the district, including 36,862 urban houses and 3,55,036 rural houses.
